A quite delightful little country inn, Ayrshire’s only 3 star inn, 7 miles from Ayr and so convenient for all these famous Ayrshire golf links as well as having its own very special brand of warm welcoming hospitality.

David Birrell’s legendary hospitality, spawned in the Borders and latterly magnificently portrayed and delivered at good old Cuilfail Hotel near Oban, is certainly more legendary than his golf - but he’ll be delighted to guide you through all the many delights of the area – and some of Ayrshire’s bonniest lassies will serve you great food in very ambient, attractive surroundings. Burns Country surrounds, surprisingly enough.

Residents will discover a magical, cosy little inn in the country and, emphatically, without the stuffiness of a country house hotel. There’s none of that snooty nostalgic stuff here – just good old fashioned Scottish hospitality.

Apart from the golf, enjoy theatre, great shopping, a flutter at Ayr Races – and an area becoming quite quaint but quintessential in its appeal with the shadow of the great poet always looming and magnificent award winning beaches and great boat trips on the Waverley not so far away either.
