Bridge of Cally Hotel

Bridge of Cally Blairgowrie Perthshire PH10 7JJ

A former 1800’s Coaching Inn, lying in splendid seclusion in the beautiful glen leading up to Royal Deeside, Braemar and The Highlands of Scotland from Blairgowrie, (20 minutes away) The Bridge of Cally Hotel welcomes everyone with the warmth and hospitality of a true Scottish experience.

Personally owned and run. Refurbished a couple of years ago, the hotel retains many of its former features and now boasts eighteen delightful individual ensuite rooms (some on the ground floor). The bathrooms are bright fresh and modern. Plenty of hot water and lots of pressure ensures the showers are strong with most bathrooms having a shower over the bath offering guests either option. Large white fluffy towels and a selection of toiletries all help to develop the cosy atmosphere you will find at The Bridge of Cally Hotel.

Our Conservatory which overlooks our garden and the River Ardle, has an informal atmosphere where we serve our all day A L’Carte menu and our evening specials menu. Sit in front of the wood burning stove, relax and enjoy the world going by. The Bridge Dining Room, a slightly more formal area which shares the same Conservatory and Specials menus, can also be used for private family gatherings, parties and small meetings. The cosy bar with its well stocked whisky shelf, offers an informal environment where a ‘blether’ with a local or fellow guest always generates a relaxing and interesting atmosphere!

The Bridge of Cally Hotel is an ideal location from which to explore many of Perthshire’s interesting and varied attractions. Whether it is the Castles of Balmoral or Glamis, Scone Palace, or Blair Atholl, The Highland Games of the local Towns, walking or cycling within some of Scotland’s finest scenery, following The Cateran Trail or just escaping from a hectic life style, a warm and friendly welcome awaits you. Edradour Distillery near Pitlochry is only a forty minute drive away. Rosemount, Alyth and Strathmore golf courses are only a twenty minute drive! Scotland’s largest ski area, Glenshee, lies just 30 minutes to the north of the hotel. And Perth Racecourse is only a 30 minute drive away.

Nothing is more rewarding than really getting away from it all and relaxing. Bridge of Cally Hotel is a little oasis of comfort, a quite superb escape from a time-pressured world. Whether at the end of a long day walking, traversing down the slopes at Glenshee, spending the day in the river fishing, touring the countryside of Perthshire or just doing nothing! Relax and enjoy afternoon tea in front of the fire, read the paper and meet fellow guests, enjoy losing yourself in a book from our small library or just have a quiet rest.
